The exhibition will be presented in Oshana (08-13 February), Omusati (15-20 February), Ohangwena (22-27 February), Oshikoto (01-06 March) and Kavango (08-13 March) regions.

Since the pieces will be presented to Members of Parliament from SACD, they will aim at addressing important questions such as the vulnerability of young women, but also celebrate their incredible role as carers and treatment supporters.

Launch of the OYO DVD ‘we were young’. Launch of the long-awaited OYO DVD, based on the play that toured in 2009 at the FNCC at 18h30. Cast and crew will be present to the screening. The screening is opened to all, free of charge.
Tyson (Nyandee Mbarandongo – The Namibian Odysseus, Because of them) tried smoking his first cigarette when he was still in Primary School. John (Norman Kapunda – The Namibian Odysseus) never liked school and wants to fail grade 10 in order to feel free again. Cubic (Bergo Van Wyk – A crack in the wall) dreams of the day he will finally meet his father. Patricia (Estomine Haradoes – Because of them) has learning difficulties and decided to drop out of school. Four young Namibians. Four stories, when once… we were young.

Also starring Eric Boamah, We were young was first created as a play in 2009. It was presented to over 20,000 learners and was a great success. The film adaptation, while trying to keep the essence of the play, is presented as a docu-fiction.
