I am Philippe Talavera, 36 years old and originally from France.  I moved to South Africa first in 1995 and Namibia in 1997.  I hold a PhD in Veterinary Science but my passion has always been the Arts, more particularly the performing arts. 
Creating OYO in 2001 allowed me to merge my academic background and my passion.  Working with young people and discovering new talents is what motivates me most.  I believe in the Arts as a social tool to create awareness and trigger behaviour change.
