Okorosave youth group

On 12th March, OYO’s Opuwo office hosted an event on gender equality in the small Kunene village of Okorosave.

“The main aim of the event was to promote women’s rights in light of the International Women’s Day which took place on 8th March,’ explained OYO Kunene Regional Head, Henry Muhimba. The team therefore invited a speaker from the Ministry of Gender to give a provocative speech on Gender Equality.  This resulted in a lively community discussion.

To cap the event, the office organised musical performances from the Sunset Band and from the OYO trained Okorosave youth group.
